Deloris Beatrice Goard


Deloris Beatrice Goard, 78, of North Page, died Feb. 21, 2008, in CAMC Memorial Hospital after battling congestive heart failure.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Margaret Goard; a niece, affectionately known as a daughter, Shirley Rasheed; brothers, Jack R., William M. and Lura E. Goard; and sisters, Jane A. and Veatrice Goard.
Surviving: a nephew, affectionately known as a son, Michael D. Goard; brothers, James C., Mitchell W. (Janice) and Clifford G. (Lizzie) Goard; and a host of nephews, nieces and dearest friends.
Service was Feb. 25 at Emmanuel Tabernacle Baptist Church with Elder Delbert Coles presiding. Burial followed at Meadow Haven Memorial Park, Ingram Branch.

Evelyn Sue Manley


Evelyn Sue Manley, 57, of Kimberly, died Feb. 23, 2008.
Born Oct. 10, 1950, in Charleston, she was the daughter of Mary Jarrell of Montgomery and the late Enis Jarrell.
Surviving, in addition to her mother: her husband, Earl Manley; children, Dawn Grey of Kimberly, Richard Grey of Charleston, Earl Manley Jr. of Kiimberly and Christopher Stanley of Ohio; two grandsons; sisters, Dora Walker of Orville, Ohio, Clara Jackson of Montgomery, Barbara Tolley of Goshen, Va., Mary Manley of Kimberly, Brenda Kay Fowler of Pratt and Tammy White of Hubert, N.C.; and a host of nephews and nieces.
Service will be 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 27) at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery, with Rev. John Syner, Rev. Wilma Dobbins and Rev. Jim Elmore officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park at London.

Sabin Taylor


Sabin Taylor, 22, of Mount Lookout, died Feb. 16, 2008, due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident.
Born May 8, 1985, in Charleston, he was the son of Beth Taylor of Charleston and Bill Taylor of Jane Lew.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, JoAnn Stull, and paternal grandfather, Bill Taylor Sr.
He loved bowling and the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a loving son, father, and brother.
Surviving, in addition to his parents: his 2-year-old son, Payton; brother, Grason; grandmother, Burke Taylor of Oak Hill; great-grandmother, Alma Woodrum of Mount Lookout; grandfather, Eldred Stull of Mount Lookout; great-grandmother, Juanita Taylor of Ansted; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services was held Feb. 23 at White Funeral Home, Summersville, with Joe Pritt officiating.
In lieu of flowers, hug your children.
