Clemmer DeWitt Arthur

Clemmer DeWitt Arthur, 78, of Twenty Mile, died Nov. 23, 2012, at CAMC Memorial Division.

He was born Dec. 18, 1933, at Cannelton, son of the late John Quincy Adams and Francis Annie O’Geary Arthur. He also was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

He was a member of the Dixie Baptist Church, a former manager of S&S Auto Parts, Gauley Bridge, and an Army veteran.

Surviving: his loving wife, Daisy Mae Keenan Arthur of Twenty Mile; daughters, Deborah Dawson of Duck, Leona Jo Hanshaw of Lookout, April D. Blankenship of Summersville, Golden S. Arthur of Lookout, and Spring L. Lively of Twenty Mile; sons, Mark A. of Alta, and Randall D. Arthur of Twenty Mile; two sisters; 21 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Nov. 27, at the Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with Rev. Jeff Sevy officiating. Burial followed in the Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor.

John L. Casey Jr.

John L. Casey Jr. died Nov. 22, 2012. He was born April 4, 1974.

John Casey was a great man, husband, father, son and grandson.

Surviving: his wife, Irina Casey and daughter Jazmin Casey; his mother, Alberta Casey; stepfather, Lester Weems; father, Johnnie Lynn Casey and wife Wendy Casey; sisters, Nicole Fontain, Jessica Casey, Sarah Massey and Dominique Casey; sister-in-law, Maria Toshkova; grandfather, Rev. Thomas Murray Sr.; a dear friend, Troy Troxler; and aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.

A service in celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at The Park Church, Beatties Ford Road. The family will receive friends from noon until 1:30 prior to the service.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow, followed by a meal at the Booker T. Washington Alumni Center, London.
