William ‘Bill’ Delheart Avery
Williiam “Bill” Delheart Avery died peacefully Jan. 30, 2010, at the Veterans Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Adraine Avery of Montgomery.
Surviving: children, Kisha L. Avery and Tonia M. Natesan; grandson, Israel Krishnan Natesan; father, Kenneth Delheart Avery Sr., and stepmother, Carolyn Avery; brothers, Delheart Kenneth Avery Jr. and Terrance Lee Avery; sisters, Jacqueline Y. Mayo and Deborah L. Woods; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Avery; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Viewing will be at 10 a.m, followed by services at 11 a.m on Friday, Feb. 12 at Reid Temple AMC Church, 11400 Glenn Dale Boulevard, Glenn Dale, Md.

Edward E. Fixico Jr.
Edward E. Fixico Jr., 50, died Feb. 3, 2010, at CAMC-Memorial, Charleston, after a battle with cancer.
He was formerly from Los Angeles and he resided in Robson with his wife, Drema.
PaPa Eddie will be missed by his grandchildren, and other family members and friends.
He was introduced to hunting by Copper Davis, got hooked and really looked forward to hunting season. He loved going to the camp and playing Phase 10 with the gang.
Surviving: his wife, Drema Stout Fixico of Robson; son, Anthony Fixico of California; sisters, Teresa Lilly of Colorado, and Debbie and Arlene of Califorina; his grandchildren, Eric and Taylor Oden of Boomer, and their parents, Shellie and Eric Oden; his “neighbors,” Karl and Sybil Taylor; and other family members and a host of friends from all over who knew him as “Chief.”
As to Eddie’s wishes he was cremated and a celebration service was held at the Open Bible Temple Church on Feb. 7, with Rev. Chuck Cunningham officiating.

Anita Marie Frank
Anita Marie Frank, 75, of Smithers, died Feb. 2, 2010, at home.
Born Nov. 29, 1934, at Cannelton, she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Agnes Rider Smith. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Frank.
She was a loving mother and housewife.
Surviving: children, Kathy Jo Frank of Smithers, Marilyn McCallister of Smithers, Joseph Frank Jr. and his wife, Sherry, of Powellton and Anne Cavalier and her husband, Ray, of Glen Ferris; and grandchildren, Michael McCallister, Kelsey Frank and Vinny Cavalier.
Service was Feb. 5 at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery, with Rev. Wallace York officiating. Burial followed in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow.

Carl Wayne Hudnall Sr.
Carl Wayne Hudnall Sr., 51, of Indore, died Jan. 30, 2010, at Montgomery General Hospital.
Born Oct. 16, 1958, at Charleston, he was the son of the late Ernest Edward Hudnall and Eva Geraldine Pritt Duncan. He also was preceded in death by his son, Carl Wayne Hudnall Jr.; and his brother, Danny Hudnall.
He cherished his granddaughter, Brooklyn, and loved all his grandchildren.
Surviving: wife, Patricia Ann Duncan Hudnall of Indore; daughters and son-in-law, Tasha Hudnall and Kenny Brown of Gauley Bridge, and Stephanie Price of Indore; son, Bryan Palacky of Indore; brothers, Kenny and Carlos Jr. Duncan, both of Indore; sisters, Virginia Brooks of Elkton, Md., Debbie Gilbert of North East, Md., and Vickie Harvey of Sissonville; stepfather, Carlos Duncan Sr. of Indore; grandchildren, Kaylin and Yvonne Hudnall, both of Poca, and Jared and Brooklyn Brown, both of Gauley Bridge.
Funeral service was Feb. 5 at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with Minister Billy Holliday officiating. Burial followed in the Elliott Cemetery, Lizemores.

Margaret King
Margaret “Maggie” King, 20, of Clay, died of injuries received in an automobile accident on Feb. 4, 2010.
Preceding her in death were her grandpa, Clinton Ray Brown, and her uncle, Jerry Brown.
She was valedictorian of the 2007 graduating class of Clay County High School, was an honor student at the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy and was a member of Buffalo Valley Baptist Church.
Surviving: her mother, Linda Beth Brown King of Clay; sisters, Lindsey Annette King of Clay and Sarah Beth King and her companion, Nicholas Andrew, of Charleston; brother, Michael Brooks King of Clay; grandmother, Margaret Brown of Cannelton; the love of her life, Bronson Brown of Belva; uncles and aunts, R.B. and Diann Legg of Lizemores and their children, Jeanne Carson of Weston, Lydia Legg of Pinch and James Brooks Legg of Charleston, Donna and George Clonch and their children, Mary and Crystal, of Rio Grande, Ohio, Ray Brown of Charleston and Steven Brown of Kearneysville; and cousins, Samantha Brown King of Montgomery and Eric and Missy Bess of Charleston.
Funeral service was Feb. 7 at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Pastor John Pruitt and Dr. R.B. Legg officiating. Burial followed in Clay Memorial Gardens, Clay.

Born Nov. 3, 1930, he was the son of the late Osman Allen and Virginia White Trimble.

Johnny Michael Waugh
Johnny Michael Waugh, 58, of Lockwood, died Feb. 4, 2010m at CAMC-General Division, Charleston.
Born April 12, 1951, in Clay County, he was the son of Flora Masel Moore Waugh of Scrabble Creek and the late Dayton Andrew Waugh.
Mr. Waugh was a member of the Scrabble Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church and a coal miner for Emily Trucking.
Surviving, in addition to his mother: his wife, Connie Underwood Waugh of Lockwood; three daughters; two stepdaughters; three stepsons; four brothers; two sisters; eight grandsons; and eight granddaughters
Funeral services were Feb. 9 at the Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge. Burial followed in the Vencill Cemetery, Dixie.

Lenora Castilee White
Lenora Castilee White, 85, of Smithers, died Feb. 7, 2010, at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.
Born April 21, 1924, in Raleigh County, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Blanch Newman Lester.
She was a member of the Smithers First Church of Christ.
Surviving: her daughters, Linda VanMeter and her husband, Robert, of Cannelton, and Brenda VanWart of Pratt; sisters, Daphnia Caudill of Louisburg, N.C., Erma Brown and her husband, Howard, of Bradley, and Joyce Terreo and her husband, Toney, of Napierville, Ill.; grandchildren, Kathryn VanMeter and Billy VanWart; and six great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery, with Rev. Kim Kirby officiating. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity.
Friends may call from 7 until 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
