MONTGOMERY — After a highly decorated coaching career, WVU Tech’s Jim Fout has decided to hang up his coaching whistle, according to school officials.
Fout, who took over the Tech women’s program two seasons ago and nursed it back to health, was also the winningest coach in DuPont High School history and the fourth winningest coach in Kanawha County in the more than 40 years of his involvement in the game of basketball.
“I know in my heart that it is time. I’m going to miss it, but I know it’s time,” Fout said in a press release Tuesday.
“I have been fortunate to have put in six great years here at Tech — four with the men’s program and now two with the women — all with great people who really made me feel appreciated.”
