The 2010 Scramble for Scouting Golf Classic will be staged on Tuesday, Aug. 10 at Glade Springs Resort.
The event, featuring a four-person scramble format, will be hosted by the Buckskin Council and D. Stephen Walker. Proceeds will benefit camping and outdoor programs for over 7,000 youth and leaders in a 23-county area of West Virginia, Virginia and Kentucky.
Registration deadline for the golf tournament is Aug. 5.
Team entry is $800, which includes four players. Individual entry is $200.
Hole sponsorships are $200, and tournament sponsorship is $1,000, which includes hole sponsorship and mention in program, four players and large sign recognition.
On the day of the event, registration begins at 11 a.m., followed by lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A shotgun start will begin the tourney at 1 p.m.
Prizes and gift certificates will be presented. The top three places will receive awards, and there will be a hole-in-one contest as well as awards for closest to the hole, longest drive, longest putt and straightest drive. There will also be a mulligan sale.
