The Fraternal Order of Eagles Montgomery Aerie #1040 held the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Valley PreK-8 ballfield in Smithers on Sunday, April 17. The children were greeted by the Easter Bunny.

Children’s names were written on entry tickets for the drawing of bicycles as they lined up in age groups from infants to 12 years of age.

When the egg hunt started, the word “GO” was shouted. One hundred dozen colored eggs were gathered in less than one minute by the children.

Drawings for the bicycles followed with seven bicycles awarded to girls and seven bicycles to boys.

Easter baskets were prepared by the members of the Ladies Auxiliary; some baskets contained a gold coin in a plastic egg. At the conclusion of the event 230 children received a basket.

Girls winning bicycles were Ellie Foster, Payton Galapon, Arianna Given, Olive Johnson, Amora McMillian, Victoria Querry and Maliyah Terrell.

Boys receiving bicycles were John Anderson, Elijah Cotton, Tavon Jackson, Michael Roberts, Bryce Stewart, Alex Tolley and Christian Tolley.
