Jacqueline H. Barton
Jacqueline H. Barton, 87, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away March 26, 2019.
Born March 14, 1932 in Glasgow, she was the daughter of Robert Ivan Page and Pearl Gregory. She also was preceded in death by brothers, Charles, Don and Bob Page; sister, Flo Brett; husbands, Robert Monday Jr. and Charley Barton; daughter, Jeanne Bass; and a grandson, Benjamin Bass.
Jackie was a housewife who was widely known for her cooking and cake baking skills. There was a saying for family get together dinners, “You cut the watermelon and they all come.”
She loved her church family as well as the Smithers Senior Center family.
She is survived by her sister, Rosemary Spear; brother, Larry Page; children, William (Patricia) Monday of Petersburg, Virginia and Marilyn (Thomas) Byerly of Fort Myers, Florida; grandchildren, Randy and Able Bass; great-grandchildren, Gage, Jade and Jasmine; and a special lifelong friend, Rosa Runyon.
A memorial of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4 at Oakland Church of God, Smithers, with Pastor Robert Van Fossen officiating. A luncheon will be provided by the church immediately following the service.

Margaret Ethel Raines
Margaret Ethel Raines, 72, of Charleston, passed away April 17, 2019 at CAMC Memorial Division following a short illness.
She was a patient account representative for CAMC and a member of Walnut Gap Missionary Baptist Church.
Margaret was a 1966 graduate of DuPont High School.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles Ralph Sr. and Mary Rebecca Harmon Raines; brothers, Charles Ralph Raines Jr. and Clarence Franklin Raines Sr.; and nephew, Clarence Franklin Raines Jr.
Surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Virgil and Monzella Raines of Tad; sisters and brother-in-law, Phyllis J. Raines of Charleston and Barbara and James Smith of Milton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held April 22 at Fidler and Frame Funeral Home, Belle, with Pastor Mike Long officiating. Interment followed in Montgomery Memorial Park, London. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Monday.
