Fayette County Assessor Eddie Young and members of his staff will visit a number of locations around the county this month to enable residents to conduct business with the office without traveling to Fayetteville.
Those who visit the mobile office can make applications for homestead exemption, pay dog taxes, fill out assessment sheets or just ask questions of the personnel. Please feel free to come by to discuss any problems or questions you may have.
Following is the schedule:
July 5 — 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., Montgomery Town Hall
July 5 — 12 to 3 p.m., Smithers Town Hall
July 6 — 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., Gauley Bridge Town Hall
July 6 — 12:30 to 3 p.m., Ansted Town Hall
July 7 — 8:30 to 11 a.m., Meadow Bridge Town Hall
July 7 — 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., Oak Hill Town Hall
July 8 — 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., Pax Town Hall
July 8 — 12:30 to 3 p.m., Mt. Hope Town Hall
Please note that if you are signing up for homestead exemption, you must be 65 years of age or totally or permanently disabled. You must bring valid proof of age or an award letter stating that you are disabled.
