Have you ever dreamed of having your own business?
BridgeValley CTC is currently seeking students between the ages of seven and 18 to participate in an entrepreneur fair in June at The GRID in Montgomery.
Students will create, market and sell their products at the fair for a chance to win prizes and experience what it would be like to be their own boss. Only minimal adult interaction will be permitted, according to organizers. There is no fee for participating, and there is a limit of three participants per booth.
The fair is open to students enrolled in Kanawha, Fayette, Raleigh, Nicholas and Clay counties. Up to 20 exhibits will be accepted. Participants will be judged on most original idea, highest business potential and best presentation in each age group: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-and-above.
A second planning workshop for the BridgeValley Future Entrepreneurs Business Fair is planned for Feb. 29 at 10 a.m. at The GRID (807 2nd Avenue). Signs will be posted letting everyone know the location room.
To sign up and/or find more information, as well as view a video on the project, visit https://www.childrensbusinessfair.org/montgomery-parrish, or call Kassi Parrish at 304-205-6743.
The fair itself will be staged June 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The GRID.
