Local officials remind everyone about a big day Saturday, Oct. 17.

While throngs of visitors won’t be descending on Fayette County for in-person activities associated with the annual Bridge Day celebration, Virtual Bridge Day 2020 will be held this Saturday.

Becky Sullivan, executive director of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce/New River Gorge CVB and chair of the Bridge Day Commission, revealed earlier that the Virtual Bridge Day event will unfold on Facebook from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday.

The purpose of the virtual event is to allow people to interact and share their memories of past Bridge Days as they look ahead to Bridge Day 2021.

On Oct. 17, six giveaway packages, as well as a raffle for a grand prize, will take place.

The virtual raffle will occur from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 17. Cost will be $5 per ticket or $20 for five tickets. The winner will be announced at 3 p.m. that day. For more information or to register for the raffle, visit www.officialbridgeday.com.
