I have known Tom Ballard for 38 years, ever since we were classmates at the West Virginia State Police Academy in 1978. I have in that time worked with Tom, often side by side, in virtually every facet of the police profession, whether criminal and drug investigation, political corruption investigations, traffic-related duties and just about everything else.

Tom was for a brief time my supervisor when he was First Sergeant heading the 2nd District headquarters in Oak Hill.

I can personally attest to Tom’s honesty, and know him as one of the most capable and hardest-working offers I have ever been associated with.

Tom Ballard is well-known and very well-respected throughout the ranks of the West Virginia State Police, and I know that if elected he will bring that same dedication to the office of Sheriff of Fayette County.
