DuPont Middle plated six runs in the sixth inning to rally for a 13-9 softball triumph over John Adams on Saturday, May 1.
Madison Young was 2-for-3 on the afternoon, launching a pair of home runs and knocking in two runs, to guide the Panthers. Also, Lydia Davis was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, Lexi Osborne was 2-for-3 with a two-bagger and two RBIs, Lydia Ellis was 2-for-5 and drove in a run, Jill Campbell was 2-for-2 with a triple and one RBI, Riley Smith was 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI, Jamie Ray was 2-for-3 with an RBI, Keelee Harrison-Dickerson was 1-for-5 with one RBI, and Ryley Joe Chapman was 1-for-4 and scored three runs.
Hill (2-for-3) and Lentz (1-for-3) each delivered a triple and three RBIs for John Adams. Painter had a double.
Chapman secured the win on the mound, striking out six and allowing seven earned runs and six hits.
DuPont improved to 6-0 with the win.
