QUINCY — Cabell Midland, No. 2 in The Associated Press Class AAA boys basketball poll, rolled to an 83-54 victory over Riverside Tuesday in high school action.

Chandler Schmidt scored 24 points as the Knights remained unbeaten (7-0) on the road.

K.K. Siebert added 19 points for Cabell Midland, and Dominic Schmidt (15 points), Palmer Riggio (11), and Sean Marcum (10) also provided double-digit scoring.

Javante Elzy tossed in 13 points and Isiah Ford added 10 to lead the Warriors. Jeremiah Mason and Quinten DeMello each added nine points, Josh Arthur scored seven, Isaiah Osborne netted four, and Austin Giannini had two.

Riverside (0-7) plays at Huntington on Thursday, Jan. 9. The next home game is Jan. 17 against Spring Valley.

In the accompanying junior varsity game, Cabell Midland utilized a 33-15 third-quarter edge to pull away for a 68-49 victory.

Tyler Perdue led the scoring for the Warriors with 14 points. Spencer Harvey added nine and Mack Lusk eight. Also providing offense were: Austin Giannini, 4; Thomas Gravely, 3; Lamonte Barron, 1; Jacob Ball, 2; Peyton Foreman, 2; Jaden Booker, 5; and Jamil Crockett, 1.

Kyle Frost scored 16 for the Knights. David McCarty added 14. Other scorers were: Benjamin Bragg, 9; Robert Parker, 9; Mekhi Reed, 7; Gwinn, 4; Fastone, 6; and Smith, 3.
