Oak Hill, Fayetteville and Midland Trail earned second-week middle school football wins last week.

Oak Hill toppled host Shady Spring 20-14, Fayetteville defeated visiting Valley 40-6, and Midland Trail downed Meadow Bridge 20-14 in double-overtime Saturday.

In the Oak Hill-Shady encounter, the Red Devils rushed for 215 yards and passed for 22 more to defeat the Tigers.

Elijah Gray carried 16 times for 118 yards and one touchdown for Oak Hill. Ian Maynor gained 47 yards and reached paydirt once on 10 carries. Malachi Lewis was 1-for-2 passing, completing a 22-yard TD pass to Kyler Edwards, and being intercepted once. He also ran six times for 32 yards. Mason McMullen had three carries for 14 yards.

For Fayetteville against Valley, J.D. Mauritz enjoyed a big outing, rushing 12 times for 251 yards and five touchdowns. Ian Harper carried four times for 49 yards and a score, and Will McGraw ran eight times for 27 stripes.

Thad Brown was 2-for-5 through the air. He threw two-point conversions to Micah McCarraher and Ian Harper.

The offensive line was led by Colton Naylor, Adam Long, Ryan Fink, Bradley Fink and Jasper Newman.

Fayetteville's first-team defense didn't allow a first down. The prevent unit was led by Long (a forced fumble), McCarraher (a forced fumble), Lake McClung, Logan Geisbert, Naylor, Bradley Fink, Mauritz, Robert Guthrie, McGraw, Harper and Brown.

McClung and Brown each had a fumble recovery.
