Riverside High School hosted the Region 3 cheerleading championships on Saturday, Nov. 6.

Class A squads competed in the morning, followed by the Class AA teams at 2 p.m. and Class AAA squads at 6 p.m. The Class A champion was Greenbrier West, followed by runner-up Midland Trail.

In Class AA, Westside was victorious and Shady Spring was runner-up.

In the triple-A ranks, George Washington was triumphant, followed by second-place Woodrow Wilson. All six squads qualify for the state tournament in December.
