On Sunday, the WVU Tech men put a 157-57 basketball whipping on visiting OSU-Mansfield.
Six players scored in double figures as Tech rolled to its fifth win in seven outings.
Donald Robinson led the romp with 35 points on 13-of-17 shooting. Josh Stricker followed with 33 points on a 13-of-19 effort from the field.
Roi Buchbinder added 22, Nicholas Kjaerholt 21, Terrale Clark 19 and Joseph Morgan 14. Rounding out the scoring were David Henderson with seven and Josh Proctor with six.
J. Marsh scored 20 for the visitors.
Tech shot a sizzling 70.7 percent (65-of-92) from the field and held a commanding 63-15 edge on the glass, led by Stricker’s 16 rebounds.
Earlier, the Golden Bears dropped a 79-63 verdict to NCAA Division I Coppin State.
Antonio Williams and Tony Gallo scored 16 points each for the winners.
The Golden Bears (4-2) were led by Josh Proctor with 23 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field and 7-of-12 from the free-throw line. Roi Buchbinder collected 14 points and nine rebounds.
In the accompanying women’s game Sunday, Tech handled OSU-Mansfield 100-45.
Brittany Crawford scored 20 and Tori Eagle 18 to lead Tech (3-7). Other scorers were: Rachael Weatherly, 12; Amber Tulley, 8; Alannah Begay, 8; Kerin Roche, 8; Ashley Blaney, 12; Shyla Jones, 8; and Jessie Johnson, 6.
J. White tallied 13 for OSU-Mansfield.
