Fayetteville 6

The Greyhound girls eased by host Fayetteville in eight innings Monday.

Valley's Kailey Cooper struck out 15 Pirates and was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Valley, according to The Charleston Gazette. Emily Smallman had four hits in five at-bats for Valley (12-8), and Jenna Allen and Emily Beard both collected two hits.

Faith Norris was 4-for-5 for Fayetteville (8-20).

Buffalo 18

Valley 5

The Bison pounded 15 hits en route to the baseball win over the Greyhounds Monday.

Hunter Whittington and Brandon Buntura each drove in three runs for Buffalo.

Kyler Smith was 2-for-3 with a double for Valley.

Meadow Bridge 3

The visiting Greyhounds came alive in the latter innings to post the baseball win over the Wildcats Wednesday.

"We walked a couple of kids and hit a batter, and some of their better hitters came up and hit the ball in the gaps," said Meadow Bridge coach Steve Hambrick.
