Below is a look at recent softball games involving local teams:
Oak Hill 6
Valley plated seven runs in the first two innings, including five in the second, to vanquish host Oak Hill 11-6 Wednesday.
A 5-for-5 effort from Kayla Graves, which included two RBIs, powered the 17-hit Greyhound attack. Gracie Gipson launched a home run and drove in a pair of runs during a 3-for-5 performance, and Mallory Kincaid was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Also, Jayden Chapman went 3-for-3, Abigail Taylor was 2-for-5 with one RBI, and Emmie Lopetrone and Haley Myers knocked in a run apiece. Graves and Gipson each scored three times.
Kaylee Mann was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs for Oak Hill. Savannah Holbrook had a double and an RBI, and Paige Neal drove in a run.
Lopetrone secured the mound verdict, striking out 11 Red Devils and scattering five hits.
Valley (8-4) is slated to host Sherman at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Greenbrier West 3
Caley Chrisman singled in Camryn Dorsey with the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh inning and Greenbrier West held on to win a 3-2 pitchers duel over host Valley Monday.
Dorsey hit a two-run homer for the Cavaliers in the top of the first.
Kenley Posten got the win, striking out eight over seven innings. Emmie Lopetrone had six strikeouts in a tough loss for the Greyhounds. Both pitchers scattered eight hits.
Abigail Taylor, Kaylee Ryan and Jayden Chapman were all 2-for-3 for Valley (7-4).

The Greyhound girls improved to 5-3 with the win at Gauley Bridge last Wednesday.
Shady Spring 12
Brooke Presley was the winning pitcher and went 2-for-2 with four runs scored as Shady Spring defeated Valley 12-3 in five innings last Monday.
Emily Jones was 4-for-4 and had five RBIs, and Bradlea Hayhurst homered and drove in four for the Tigers. Sandy Mills and Olivia Bowers were both 2-for-3.
Abigail Taylor drove in two runs for Valley (4-3). Kayla Graves knocked in one run.

Valley swept a twin-bill from visiting Fayetteville Friday night at Neal Field in Gauley Bridge.
Gracie Gipson blasted a three-run base hit to right field to power the attack in the first game. Emmie Lopetrone was the winning pitcher in game one.
