The Valley Greyhounds have split their section baseball tournament games so far this week, losing to Fayetteville Monday and beating Richwood Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Valley squeaked by Richwood 9-8 in eight innings.

Isiah Ford started and went 5 1/3 innings on the mound for Valley. He was relieved by Jett Taylor, who got the win.

At the plate for the Greyhounds, Adam Falbo was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs. Also, Jimmy Harper was 3-for-5 and drove in a run, Taylor was 2-for-5 with a pair of RBIs, Zach Winter was 1-for-6 and provided the game-winning RBI, and Ford was 1-for-5 with an RBI.

The Fayetteville Pirates defeated Valley 12-1 on Monday.

Hunter Rinehart was 2-for-3 with a homer, a double and two RBIs for the Pirates. Max Holland (2-for-3 with a double) also drove in two runs. Nick Milam knocked in a pair of runs, and Jordan Dempsey (1-for-2), Timmy Bell (1-for-1) and Seth McCarraher each had one RBI. Logan Frantz, Eli Selvey and Jeffrey McKnight were each 1-for-3.

Connor Raynes (1-for-3) had one RBI for the Greyhounds. Dustin Stover (double) and Harper were both 1-for-2.

Valley travels to Webster County tonight at 6 p.m.
